Definition of the Best

You can only control so much in backgammon, that's the nature of the game. If XG was allowed to enter tournaments and play on its highest levels it would clearly be the best but it does not assure that it will win anything. Backgammon is nowhere near a pure skill game and while the stronger you become as a player it increases your advantage, it assures you of no results.

There are tons of ideas to determine who the best is and I'm estimating that roughly none of them will see the light of day.
