Your numbers are for the average (2.5 / 4.125 matches).
And the timing for 25pt match is also for the average match, not for the longest one.
If you're planning a tournament, you have to plan for best of x matches going the distance, so your comparable numbers should rather be for 3 and 5 matches.
And 1x25pt format is planned as every match will finish with 25-2x score or in DMP?
If couple of matches are taking a lot of time - tournament cannot proceed with the next round where both opponents are known (finished their matches earlier)?!I agree that you must have in mind that *some* matches will go in five sets. But not *all* matches will have five sets.
Planning this format will actual loose you half or 7 8ths of a match worth of play!
Even if matches are about half an hour longer on average - Monte Carlo tournament takes 7 days. You're saying there's no time for (maybe) longer matches?
Can you easily see the average number of games, points per game, and cubes offered on different levels in those matches? That would be really interesting!
I agree. I would be very interested to see this. (Even just the cube info would be very useful)
