There's a small window for this sort of cube to be correct and this position falls inside that window, it seems.

Of extreme importance is the fact that it is only bear take. Of major importance is the high and abrupt volatility of rolling a 5 soon. Also important is that as shown in RO for ND that it isn't extremely gammonish..ie fewer than half of all wins are gammons.

I've posted similar stuff at some other scores over the years, but in general if the opp's decision to pass or take is very close, it is often correct to cube.
