I'm not seeing how the match score affects things here. In both scenarios blue wants a gammon. The main difference is that I would have doubled before rolling at 3a 8a. BUt that's not the question.

Seems like there are four candidate plays:

1) hit twice 14/8* 5/2*(2)

2)hit twice with 14/8*/2*

3) hit in the outfield and unstack the bloated bar point 14/8* 7/4(2)

4) hit in the homeboard and make a third point. 7/4(2) 5/2(2)*

I like the idea of unstacking and I like the idea of hanging on to the 5 point, so I'll play 14/8* 7/4(2). A four prime with an opponent on the bar plus a blot to shoot at and 15 checkers in the zone. What's not to like?

Hitting twice is attractive, but I think this looks stronger.
