Match Analysis

As others have already pointed out, there are many matches available that are annotated. It is still nice to have fresh material, esp. if you have a specific match in mind. I think it would be a lot more interesting to have certain matches/match ups annotated than others.

The big issue is it is work. For myself, it's a big undertaking. First, I prefer to do it only if I was present for the match. I'd prefer I played in the match, but if not, I at least needed to watch the entire match. (usually I would have recorded it) After that, I would do rollouts for the entire match. Not that they are necessarily needed for annotation, but I feel like not doing them would be half assing it. With rollouts for the original positions then when doing the annotations you could look at variants and their effect etc...

Lastly, the annotation. It takes a long time, esp. depending on how long the match was, to comment thoroughly on everything. I could ramble on for 6 hours on how and why I played a certain opening roll against a player or why I did or didn't double in certain situations. It's just a lot of work for someone to annotate matches esp. if they're doing it for free.
