I'd move the runner up so that both 6s and 5s can see the outfield. Yes, there's a raft of opposing checkers ready to whack the runner if it runs, but they won't be there forever. Then I'd bring one down from the midpoint - I thin that's better than playing to the 3 point.

I thought about hitting, but why give white more timing? Her timing is a bit shy right now, losing another 12 pips puts her about 85 pips behind, which is about right. OTOH, the 5-1 backgame is weak so maybe I don't need to be too concerned about giving her timing. I'll stick with my play.
