Opp's home board=bold, no anchor=safe, our home board=bold, blots=safe, checker back=safe, opp checker back=safe.

Regarding the bold play vs. safe play criteria, we have to play safe. But is there a safe play? If we don't recirculate, the checkers in the offense can only make the 2 or the 4 point. Playing 43 in a game which will go a little bit is to rich for my blood. Dilly dilly dilly. The golden point is an asset. It will hamper our attempt to block the play from behind.

I will simply try to fill up my board, playing against the ace and disturbing white to organize his offense. Will he hit from the golden point? What is with his outfield?

I'll play 13/12*/8. If he can't hit on the four, we have good chances to make this point. Otherwise we can recirculate and perhaps he dances.
