David: Great idea. I think a good naming scheme is important. I don't know what belongs in the file name and what belongs in the XG game info, but things that seem important are: yyyy-mm-dd, tournament, event, round, player1, player2.

I tend towards names that are longer rather than shorter. Here are a couple of recent examples:

Novi 2012 — Open Division, Main Flight, Round 2 — Stick vs. Ken Bame (Stick's version with rollouts).xg
Novi 2012 — Open Division, Main Flight, Round 2 — Stick vs. Ken Bame (Ken's version with rollouts).xg
Novi 2012 — Open Division, Finals — Simborg vs. Senk.xg

In practice, I recognize that most would prefer a more abbreviated scheme. I don’t have any problem with that, however, I do think that all the things listed by David should be included. His order may good as well.
