Why is it wrong to slot the barpoint here?

13/7 allows escape with a tempo, 22/16 adds to outfield coverage and makes it more difficult to escape. After slot, you want to cover, but then your forces tend to be divided (three back, lot up front, little in between). 22/16 looks better but it is not a clear play to make, 13/7 is plausible.
