- X = Hit and split (24/20, 6/5*) — This play leaves 1, 3, 5 and 6 as hitting numbers. Creating a good 6 for White is probably wrong when he is on the bar.
- H = Hit (13/9, 6/5*) — After this move, White will have 4 to make an advanced anchor, and 1 and 5 to hit. Thus, there are 12 ways to anchor, and an additional 22 ways to hit. The 5 is duplicated, but it is a weak duplication. Given the choice, White will certainly hit in Blue’s inner board.
