Stick vs Merriman: XG++ Data Makes No Sense

10/5* 5/2 wins more games (95.6% to 95.4%) and 10/5* 5/2 wins more gammons (91.6% to 91.0%) than 15/10 6/3. 10/5* 5/2 also loses fewer gammons. Blue's backgammons at this score are irrelevant.
I'm just a simple country boy from Alabama, but it surely appears to me that if 10/5* 5/2 wins more games, wins more gammons and also loses fewer gammons, it should be the better play.
