Note that (the equivalent of) 5/3 5/off ranks #2 in the rollout of the OLM position.

To understand this, I'd start by trying to "interpolate" between your position and the OLM position that I linked to in my response.

First, what happens to the OLM position if we change the score to DMP?

Next I'd try modifying the OLM position by putting the third checker on White's 24pt on the bar instead. What effect does this have?

If this still doesn't yield an answer, I'd look at the temperature map after a dance by White. Clearly it's bad if Blue blots on his next roll. So where does XG see the compensation coming from?
