White is Player 2
score: 2
pip: 1107 point match pip: 80
score: 4
Blue is Player 1XGID=-BABCbCB----bB-----bbcbb--:1:1:1:64:4:2:0:7:10 Blue to play 64
If you decide to pay now in the position above, 64 is a nice roll with which to do it. You leave only 1 blot and 13 shots, plus you figure to cash if missed.
But look how brittle White’s position is. Unless he rolls 21, he will probably have to break his midpoint. Then, if you can avoid rolling a 6, you can perhaps stall for another turn. In case you do roll a 6, however, you can likely bring one checker safely home, and leave only an indirect shot. (62 would be ugly.) Once again, if you are missed, you have a strong cube.

Blue is Player 1XGID=-BABCbCB----cB-----bbbbb--:1:1:1:64:4:2:0:7:10 Blue to play 64 In this variant, White has an extra builder on his midpoint. Now, he is not so brittle. With few chances that White will break the midpoint, I would pay now.
