What did you learn from the Pay Now or Later lecture?

But look how brittle White’s position is. Unless he rolls 21, he will probably have to break his midpoint...

I feel this is a common way of overlooking everything that's going on in the position below. After playing what you suggest you're playing, pay later via lifting the 8pt, do you really think your opponent ever should release the midpoint on his next roll?
