Interesting decision from Senkiewicz-Ashkenazi

The rule is 'make the better point'. Like almost all rules, there are exceptions. This fits the exception quota perfectly. I can't find where I put either Nack's email on how to post positions side by side nor when it was posted on the forums but if you look at the result after each play below the best play should stand out.
If we make the 4pt we leave only 5 shots and 5 builders to make the 5pt next turn. If we make the 5pt we leave 6 shots and sort of 5 builders to make the 5pt next turn. The 'sort of' is a big deal as we have no spares on the 8pt so if we make the 4pt using a man from the 8pt we still wouldn't have a 5 prime, it would be temporarily broken again.
By making the 4pt we also diversify our numbers as best we can. Any roll without a 6 in it (and not 44 or 55) makes the 5pt. Any roll with a 6 in it we can spring the back checker. Making the 5pt dupes our sixes next turn a bit.
Making the 5pt instead of the 4pt would also leave us heavily stacked on the 6pt instead of having a more smooth distribution by using a spare from the 6pt now to make the 4pt. I think that covers it...but I typed 'pt' so many times I may have confused myself and left something out.
