HTML for side-by-side board diagrams

And pretty much the same thing!
For much of his work Nack prefers to use the board diagrams from GnuBg. This is because they are not cluttered with information typed at the side. When comparing positions side-by-side, this can be a big advantage. Another nice thing is that the GnuBg diagrams line up at the left margin (instead of being centered). Here is an example from one of Nack’s recent posts.

The HTML that Nack uses for GnuBg diagrams includes a width specification (width:360) so that there is a bit of whitespace between columns. This is better than using cellspacing because it does not impact the left alignment. Below is an example where Nack omits the width specification. The result is a little bit crowded.
