BQ: Take the 5 off or not?

I would make the safe play here, 5/2 4/2, assuming that the gammon is so in the bag when I'm not hit safety is my #1 priority.

5/off leaves 12 immediate shots and barring doubles next turn, doesn't clean up the point.

5/2 4/2 leaves only 8 immediate shots and that's it. Next turn the point is clear and the game is over if you aren't hit.
