According to a rollout by Paul Weaver, the play you like, H = Hit (13/10* 13/7), is correct at gammon-go. In unlimited games, and at double match point, however, X = Hit and split (13/10* 24/18) wins out.

Can you guess which is better at gammon-save?

Comparing XG Export Commands

The following is a copy of my post on 2012-Jul-28:

I can tell from the green board in your diagram that you used “Copy as:” “HTML (using images)” during the export. Did you know that this forces browsers to download the pieces of the board diagram from the extremegammon.com web site instead of from BgOnline?

When you use “Copy as:” “BGOnline.org,” all the pieces of the board diagram are downloaded from BgOnline. This better for two reasons:

  1. Web pages open slightly faster.
  2. More importantly, the BgOnline message will always display correctly, even if changes are made at extremegammon.com.

Notes about Nactation

Similar notes are posted in BGO Msg. No. 127599.

  1. As Nack mentioned recently, your Nactations will be a little easier to read if you leave out the hyphens in your dice rolls.
  2. You should, however, put a hyphen between moves. See my subject title above for an example.
  3. Do not put any questions marks at the end.
  4. At GG, when the move string is given in isolation, you should put -g at the end. (Use -d for DMP and -s for GS.) When a move string is accompanied by a nacbracs, then the
    -g is omitted in favor of a g at the beginning of the nacbracs. Using Paul’s rollout as an example gives:
    • Isolated move string: 31P-63R-63-d
    • Isolated nacbracs: g[H X19] '<5
    • Together: 31P-63R-63 g[H X19] '<5
