I feel more pressure in bg with the higher wages I play for. One way to handle it is to play or stay in the comfort zone. But if the pressure is caused by too low self-confidence- or fear because of a strong oponent, you have other measures to deal with it. One way is thinking positive using mantras like 'I Can' ,'I will', 'Even yesterday I beat XG with a 15 and he played a 0'...and so on. Another way to handle the pressure is using breathing tecnics. In pressure situations, you are usually more stressed than normal. You may get some adrenalin. You are then more inclined to acting, more than thinking, because it's a natural reflex. If you control your breath, breathing deeply into the belly, you will get calmer and more focussed. In tennis, you have to check if you can use the pressure. If not or when you get too much stress, you can let it out by shouting or throwing the racket, for example. In bg, thats not possible, so count on breathing exercises and mantras.
