Pressure in Backgammon

I was wondering the same thing. Here are two possibilities of what Stick might be thinking:
1. In backgammon you don't get immediate feedback about whether a decision is correct or not. (In tennis, if you hit a poor shot you'll know almost right away.)
2. Luck plays a large part in backgammon. Since you can always blame your losses on bad luck, there is not as much pressure to play well?
Here is a thought experiment for Stick: Suppose you're playing a backgammon match which is being transcribed into a computer and every play analyzed in real time. Whenever you make an error above a certain level, a loud buzzer goes off so that everyone around knows about it.
Would this create pressure? Or is there something else about backgammon that makes it different than other sports?
