For all my formative years playing Chess WITH a clock, including speed chess matches as well, I found Backgammon refreshing NOT having clock usage..yes, i am going back to 1988. I presume that Bill Davis and I are having difficulty requiring clocks due to our age and slowness to adapt to change... I do know there are several senior players that DO prefer playing without a clock, some may not be able to play BG tourneys long if required to use one.....Do we start a Non-Clocked Open Division for players that are not comfotable with a clock..
