I'm afraid it still doesn't make sense to me, not only after I see it, but even after I read your explanation. Sure, the blot isn't in much danger of being hit, but why are we so keen to rush our checkers around and build points on our side of the board? We're well behind in the race. Won't White just dump checkers behind our anchor until she rolls doublets to get her anchor around and win the race? Why not keep the 23pt blot as a guard?
