Hypothetical for Steve Hast

Steve Hast: If there was evidence that the vast majority of BG players would only attend tournaments with clocks, then I would offer tournaments with mandatory clock usage.
You have misunderstood my hypothetical. Let me repeat what I wrote:
JLee: In terms of attendance, there are two sets of players:
A: The set of players who would play in a clocked tournament but not an unclocked tournament. [That's me.]
B: The set of players who would play in an unclocked tournament but not a clocked tournament.
(There is another, larger set of people for whom clock policy does not affect attendance.)
So my question to you, Steve Hast: I think you believe that right now, set B is bigger than set A. What if you gain clear evidence in the future, that set A is bigger than set B? Will you (1) change your format, (2) keep your format, or (3) stop running backgammon tournaments?
I never asked for what you would do if (as you wrote) vast majority of BG players would only attend tournaments with clocks. My hypothetical asks what you would do if the number of players who would attend only clocked tournaments exceeded the number of players who would attend unclocked tournaments. This is hugely different from what you wrote.
