Pete Esposito: Perhaps the compromise is no clocks for someone to time out with, but use one set of dice for the mechanics of the game players want most. Should a match lag behind the director can apply the clock and times rules.

Pete -- one day we may meet in a unclocked side event at a tournament. (We won't ever meet in an unclocked main event, because I'm never playing in one ever again.) If you'd like to play with a clock, and no time constraints, I'm game. I consider this an excellent compromise to help ease people into clock usage.
