Now you have a taste of what my poor teachers go through. Yes, I did mean it's still a take (not a double) if the estimate of 75% is correct. What I interpret dead cube as meaning is that it's a last roll (or virtually last roll) position. But if there is play left the 25% takepoint that we get for money is adjusted down to about 21.5% because of the value of owning the cube, that I thought was the "live" takepoint. Are you saying that, due to White's low gammon rate here that ownership of the cube is not so valuable and therefore the adjustment from 23% (which I believe is the dead cube {raw cube?} takepoint at this score but I could easily have that all wrong too) should not be as great as usual (ie. down to 20%)? Is ownership of the cube that tied in to gammon potential? I would have thought there would be value in owning the cube for racing purposes as well, if things turned around for White.
