Rollout

I've noticed BGBlitz will span 16 processors now. I wonder if there is a way to distribute the work in a fashion similar to "folding@home" so that we can start to have a meaningful database of positions.
Well not folding@home, but distributig in a LAN might come. I'm a geek, so such things have a great attraction to me ;) But no promise for the next release.I tend to envy the chess guys with Chessbase, Fritz, etc where they have match and position databases that have standard interfaces to a big set of smart engines that have a standard interface to a big set of different ui's.
Oh yes..... BGBlitz can have several AI's plugged in, but obviously there are a lot less people than in chess to come up with an AI and even less (speak none) are willing to plug it in anywhere else. That's a pity because coming up with an AI is a fraction of work coming up with a complete program.Today we seem to have 3 engines. Mr. Berger appears to be the only one regularily working on the playing strength. Although rumours of Snowie 5 abound.
I have currently some technical problems with the training, but in the next weeks I'll start work on a new AI. It should be not too difficult to surpass the current AI, but by how much? No idea.ciao
