Answer - 21/16, 23/22

I am terrible at backgames but here goes....

It seems to me the two real choices are

The no hit option - something like 21/16, 23,22

The hit option - almost certainly not on the 18 point but on the two point (as the spot we next really want to make)

I would go for the no hit option - the lack of timing means that white will hopefully end up in a 24/23 backgame rather than a quite playable 24/20 hybrid game.
