No BG for you here, John as you said it was a take and that playing on might be correct.

For me, the defination of a play on is when your emg is greater than 1.0 if you play on...but here it is correct to play on due to the combination of my take by several percent (huge AtS) and Ray's G's.

As for underestimating G wins, this position isn't easy since there are lots of hits and I used to underestimate G's myself and have wimped out and cashed too often over the past few years although now I know to play on more.

Cashing a close TG (that they have zero chance to take) isn't so bad vs average players since Top Giants' effective GV is less vs them but vs Expert+ opps it can be costly.
