In Response To: Leading Federal Judge Rules That Poker Is a Game of Skill Not Covered by U.S. Gambling Act (Alfred Mamlet)

No district court judge is "leading". Their decisions have no precedential value.

There have been a raft of state court cases with the same holding. None of them put a stop to "conservatives" waging all out war to impose their values on everybody else.

The DOJ took a more substantial action than any individual court case when it stated that the hoary, old 1961 Wire Act only applied to sports betting. Summarized here, if the top of the blog hasn't changed:

In the aftermath of that December, 2011, event, the legal environment has remained frozen. Full Tilt Poker was sold, and the DOJ will apparently be charging US players who had money there "costs of administration" to get their money back.

How did this country get so stupid?
