Agreed.

Leaving behind the blot in his inner board doens't seem a big issue as well because of his stripped 6 and bar point. He's also got the blot on his 2 point to worry about.

Cons of this play: Ok we've got the 5 point board but I see no real good followup. Even if we hit something he seems to have enough time to come in and jump out before we get enough ammunition to do some real harm.

I have no idea if the score or cube position influences the decision between the "pure running" plays and 21/15 8/3.
