He's always been very well regarded by the plaintiff's product liability bar, and the criminal defense bar.

Back to the point(s). Trial judge opinions, no matter how long they are, don't have precedential value. The numerous state court cases finding poker to be a game of skill have left us with the frozen and irrational legal environment that makes these threads so long. Conduct that is not only legal in, but is taken for granted by, countries similar to America, remains in a ridiculous grey area of federal government harassment and borderline tyranny.
