When the weekend rolls around and the one post I shoot out on a Friday is "going to happy hour" and then you don't see a response from me on any thread the entire weekend it's safe to say I just wasn't around. (and it was probably a good weekend)

Why not play a series of matches or money games there? (Pittsburgh)

People always say things like this suggesting we have all the time in the world or the only thing I want to do at a backgammon tournament is play backgammon 24/7. I guarantee that if I were to play Bill this weekend it would be tragic. I don't want to cram in as much bg as possible. I normally play the main event, possibly the Masters, and usually doubles but doubles is more for fun and me harassing my donkey of a partner than worrying about the backgammon portion of it. You rarely see me in the chouettes even if I am hanging around them. I like chouettes and some would argue for me it's 'free money' but that's not what I'm all about during a bg weekend. I would be light years happier playing in what I listed and in my off time playing tennis in the mornings or drinking at night rather than doing something like this. Sorry.

I'd be interested to hear how you think one could cheat and get away with it if the entire room they were sitting in was being broadcast live for example.
