Daniel and Timothy are right. Hitting is right by a lot. It wins more games and loses fewer net g's than 13/7(it does lose about .5% more bg's though). Hitting sends a 5th checker back and the oppt has 13 numbers either dance or fail to hit. If you get hit, you'll have 27 ways to re-enter. The idea of making a quieter play when you own the cube only applies when both plays are otherwise very close. They're not here so hit and hope for the best.
