i play much better live

As you stated the pip count is the key.If you are not easy on that field you will spend energy and time and keep being suspicious on every moves you make.

Also I suppose this is due to the concentration and adrenalin that produces live events.

Online: My MET calculation also is very approximative + I have a tendency to play(too) fast.
