With the subject I tried to channel your thought towards our Ace point hatred. It happened that I made a blunder in a GGish position - playing S. When I studied the position, XG told me it was right to hit on ace nearly all basic scores, but the difference is how (plus what) GG= H+down; GS=H+split; U= S and H+split is only 0.003 worse; DMP=S but H+split is only -0.003 I don't know which is X and H.
I was slapped in the face with a lesson review: The hit on Ace is not only used as a blitz igniter, but also as a preemptive weapon. As much as I hate the Ace point since the time I read Joe Dweck and Barclay Cooke, even if I see that I do not have much chance to blitz or to win this game, I MUST HIT to prevent her from doing harm if she is not disbalanced immediately. Those 4 active builders are scary indeed.
My Ace hatred had blinded me into neglecting the real threat.
