XG sales volume

Xg is top choice for anyone that wants to analyze the games he plays and bg itself. Although i have no official source, I believe that it's price is probably right as gnu developers do not really have a good incentive to grow gnu again. Had XG retained the snowie price then gnu might have been a better player now and that would ultimately drop the price of Xg. It also misses the Mac market. Of course all pros will buy a pc, but Mac users who r starting to know bg might not go into the trouble of using an emulator just for Xg. I am not sure how many core units Xg would use under an emulator. The higher the number the more Mac users will try it, but not the majority for sure.

So I would say it has a healthy Monopoly retaining maybe 97% of its core target group. For the casual player market that will do a rollout once in a while out of curiosity or not at all, I am not sure what is going on. Gnu will still probably be popular there as it is ancient and free. Other programs could exist or be created and sell good if they have many graphics, catchy and many sounds, or features that the player will actually never use, but sound cool when the player thinks to buy a program or not (especially at the mobile market). As I have no idea of the whole market of bg programs I cannot guess what percentage it might have there, but I guess it should be low.
