What about “Feisty” Phil?

In BGO Msg. No. 128841, he pledged, “I hereby agree to play with a clock every match with any player who will agree to as well, even though it is not required.”

Furthermore, even though Stick had stated only that he would use the no-clock rule in the most ethical of ways, Phil asserted in BGO Msg. No. 128899, “Stick, if you play me in Pittsburgh we will use a clock whether you want to or not, because I pledge, in advance, to take 1 hour on every move.”

BTW: I agree wholeheartedly with the notion that no-penalty clocking should have been used by clock advocates in Pittsburgh.
