So what's the clock policy in your country in the Open division in national events like the US ABT?

It is staggering to me that clocks preferred is not a minimum policy in the US. Having said that, in terms of 'global compliance' or uniformity (I cant really find the best way to phrase it), the US is often behind (or perceptively ahead) the times.

For example: Pounds and Ounces (Are you kidding me?); Fahrenheit (WHAT?); Miles (much less so for me).

I want to be clear here, I am not being critical, just observational, and have a preference for some aspects of metric adoption, but less for others.
