I will never time out with any reasonable time settings. If you mean what settings would I need to not ever think about the clock existing and not time out I don't know. It would highly depend on the type of match/games involved. I've never really given it any thought.

I can hand record in bg with a clock and without a problem also. I'd prefer more time doing this, of course, but it can be done without too much hassle.
