It's a good article but I think it's hogwash to say:

"Paul Magriel told me that the most common checker play errors didn't occur when a player made the wrong choice between two candidates -- they occurred when a player never even saw one of the candidates. He said this was true for players of every level, from novice to world class. At the time I found that hard to believe. Perhaps it is true for novices, but for world class players? Yet, experience has taught me that Paul was 100% correct
