It is strange that some things increase in value as they get older. Most things do not. I have spent much time studying the game of backgammon recently. Maybe I will never be able to work again because of the illness (bipolar). But I decided to do something to challenge myself to the max. I played poker and saw that was not so much more to develop. Backgammon is more a sport where you constantly have to be alert and think about strategy every move.
In any case, I decided in January to study gammonlines various quizes. One month per day, eight problems. This to learn more, but mostly to be closer to why! Why is it right to play that way. Today I started making detailed RO on several of the situations and in many problems, there is a unified elite agree on a way of thinking and doing the same move, almost 5-11% wrong. Maybe change times, maybe change philosophy on how the game should be played.
Backgammon is still a very immature sports when compared to poker. And perhaps it is difficult to find accurate sources up to date.
Until today was Magriels words to Kit my guiding light and something that I'm trying to think of often. But it seems that I'll try to find another approach. It is so true development, and be open minded works.
