Ben, Dmitriy's already made a new .mat file with the fake moves to bridge the gap in the incomplete game and the one change for compatibility in game 11. It's here:

But, whenever I've had to manually edit a .mat or .txt match file, I've just used Notepad, and made sure my changes follow the format. This is not hard, only tedious sometimes, because the format is just a plain text two-column list of move numbers, rolls and plays, plus a header for the match length, and game headers for player names and score.
So, for game 5, I opened the .mat or .txt file with Notepad and replaced
; Set Pos=aBBBBDC-----------------e-/0 29) 55: 5/Off(4) 65: Bar/14 30) 53: 6/1 3/Off Doubles => 2 31) Drops Wins 1 point with
29) 65: Bar/20 Bar/19 41: 18/14 2/1 30) 66: 19/13 19/7 17/11* 66: Cannot Move 31) 66: 22/16 20/8 13/7 66: Cannot Move 32) 55: 11/6 10/5 7/2(2) 66: Cannot Move 33) 66: 21/9 16/4 66: Cannot Move 34) 43: 5/1 4/1 33: Cannot Move 35) 43: 9/5 8/5 31: Cannot Move 36) 55: 5/Off(4) 65: Bar/14 37) 53: 6/1 3/Off Doubles => 2 38) Drops Wins 1 point And in game 11, I had to change
35) 54: 8/Off
to
35) 54: 8/4/Off
