I don't think you need to spend a lot of money to gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the game.
Practice and study for 6-8 hours per day should be more than enough if you have a bright head which is capable of remembering what you're trying to learn.
I would advise you to play 50% of the time, study your errors from the play 25% of the time, and study theory for the remaining 25% of the time.
If you can play with strong players who are willing to discuss and share info during play, then the 50% of your time where you play will be extra valuable.
For me studying theory includes reading books, playing around with different reference positions to see how the equities change, doing manual rollouts of positions where you don't understands the bot's evaluation, etc.
