Chess cheating

I may be mistaken, but I think Daniel (+Timaway) was averaging 2-3. He was accused of cheating in a certain zone event (I am thinking it may have been ZCS). Don Boyer arranged (And Daniel readily accepted) to have him play a proctored match. Daniel was in Israel, but I believe they found a mutually agreed upon proctor. I seem to recall it was a lawyer (Zone nic was something like AIF_CatInHat ? I heard she passed away some time ago). Daniel ended up playing a series of long matches. I can't remember if it was a set of 3 or 5 matches, and what the length was, but I think they were greater than 11 pts each. Don Boyer played as his opponent. Daniel did not play at his home from what I recall, he played at another agreed upon location (I think it may have been the lawyer's home or office). Don't quote me but I seem to recall he ended up playing in the 4.0 to 4.4 on average across the series. I do not specifically recall that the match was webcammed. I do remember that the match was played on the zone for people to watch at a table. I had the matches saved on a windows system that was long since archived, I might still have them. There were some skeptics after, but I think the general consensus was that Daniel is a legitimately strong player. Disclosure: Daniel is a friend, although I haven't communicated with him in a while.
The one match I do recall that was webcammed was the one that Hank took of himself, but people pretty much dismissed it as not being evidence of anything. They wanted him to play with a proctor or a public setting.
