Find an ace - Rollout

I didn't think the upcoming the plays were tricky enough to disqualify 0-ply, and I wanted a quick result. My rollout settings were to stop at 2.5 jsd with a min of 324 games, and that did the job. I'm sure Chuck won't be sending the rollout police to give me a kicking.
Here's a related position that also shows the superiority of 8/7. This is something I obviously need to get my head round.
The score (after 0 games) is: White 0, Joe 0
Move number 5: Joe to play 31
White 130
Joe 164 Position ID: w2aHAyBmZmGARQ Match ID: cIkFAAAAAAAA
• Joe moves bar/22 8/7

AnnotationFilling in the five point makes 8/7 too risky, acording to 2-ply, but the rollout again favours the open play.
