This was basically my assessment, as well, with a couple of minor quibbles:

1. If Blue misses then I think White will play on for at least a while since there's no risk in doing so.

2. Unless Blue hangs back with both checkers, White has no rolls that force her to blot. And White won't volunteer a shot by hitting since the extra gammons won't compensate for the losses.
