If White was incorrectly playing for the G against the ace point game, Blue certainly didn't help his case by splitting. I'd cube this because White is so awkward, but it looks fairly close. AFAIK the only psychological angle on this is if Blue just rolled aces from the roof (or White just rolled 55 to clear the opposing bar point and Blue rolled an ace or some such), decided that White would correctly double him out if he sat on the ace point, but might incorrectly play on if he split off the anchor.
