Trust your judgment!

The rollouts are telling us that the plays are very close to equal, and the two best players in the world can't agree which is better.

Make whichever play you feel comfortable with. Make the play which will induce more errors from your opponent. Vary your plays and smile knowingly at your opponent. Only slot on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flip a coin.

Snowie favours splitting and the result is within the 95% confidence interval. Gnubg slots but the confidence is lower. I interpret this to mean that, in an infinite rollout by both bots, gnubg is more likely to get a different result than Snowie. If I had to make a bet, I'd wager that splitting is correct for the current level of knowledge.
