An interesting thing about Sandy is that while all of the others, even those few who had day jobs, were more or less full time gamers, whereas Sandy was busy playing doctor. Who knows how he would have done if he had put his mind to it?
There is another player whose game I would love to have seen analyzed. Carl Sellars was a grad student from Canada (who got into poker early). He would surface on rare occasions; proximity drew him to Carol's tournaments every so often. When JellyFish came out one of the first people to plunge into the pool and do a lot of swimming with the squishy creature was Hal Heinrich, and Hal hung around with another Canadian, Al Jones, sharing rollouts. Al told me that he and Hal, when they ran into Carl, would hand him a stack of position cards, ones they had rolled out on Jelly. Carl would go through perhaps one hundred positions, and would find ten or fifteen he would be willing to play as props, them taking Jelly's side. And would be on the right side about 80% of the time.
