In Response To: Modern Backgammon #3-10 (Timothy Chow)

Since slotting our bar point is likely to lead to the priming game, it looks like shifting our 4p to 5p might make 13/8 13/7 come up ahead of 24/18 13/8. Conversely, shifting our 4p to 3p or 2p should make 13/8 13/7 go down in value. Would that be a sensible line of reasoning?
